About

Long ago, some of you might (or might not) have heard of a website called Ecotonoha. It was a place you could visit every day and add a “word leaf,” and for every 100 leaves, they would plant a tree on Kangaroo Island in Australia. I won’t be doing the tree-planting part — I’m making this just for fun. Since Ecotonoha isn’t around anymore, I thought I’d make my own version.

Here is a video of what it looked liked. Ecotonoha Tree

Leaf A Message is a shared daily pixel tree where everyone adds small “leaf-notes” with short messages.

Each day a new tree appears. When the day changes, the tree is saved into the Grove so you can revisit it later.

Why it exists

A tiny, cozy place to leave a thought — and watch the tree fill up over time.

FAQ

How many leaves can I add per day?

Right now you can place up to 2 leaves on today’s tree. This may change later as the grove grows.

What does “Your leaves left” mean?

It shows how many leaves you can still place on today’s tree. When it reaches zero, you’re done for the day.

Why is the message box disabled?

You’ve reached your daily limit for today. Come back tomorrow for a new tree.

Can I edit my message?

Not right now — leaves are meant to feel “placed”.

Why can’t I add leaves to old trees?

Past trees are view-only to preserve that day.

Is my leaf saved?

Yes — the message is stored in the database and reloaded when you revisit.
